You get what you pay for

I have customers call all the time and their first question is... " How much does it cost to move?" Although I understand their wanting to know what type of financial impact a move will have on their pockets, there is much more that goes in to a move than just cost. Yesterday a customer called and said they had spoken with another company whose rate was lower than ours. I knew of the other company very well. My response to her was that she should do her due diligence and research the company that she was going to hire to save a few dollars. After a search of the BBB and checking with her realtor she called back and decided to go with us. She said she was willing to pay a little more to ensure that the company that would be handling all of her worldly posesions was a reputable company that she felt comfortable with. The peace of mind that her items would be cared for and get to its final destination in the same condition was enough for her to pay a little more.
